1. Who we are

Ramble is operated by Ramble Technologies Ltd, based in Scotland. In this policy, “Ramble”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Ramble Technologies Ltd. For privacy questions, requests, or complaints, contact help@rambleloop.com.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide directly

• Account information: your name, email address, and password credentials. Passwords are stored as secure password hashes, not as readable passwords.
• Rambles and notes: text, voice-derived text, tasks, observations, reminders, dates, tags, and other content you choose to submit.
• Shared-space information: group names, descriptions, memberships, aliases, invitations, and content you choose to share with a group.
• Media and profile information: images, avatars, and other files you upload or ask Ramble to process.
• Support communications: information you include when contacting us, such as your email address and the contents of your message.

Information collected automatically

We may receive limited technical information needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service, such as device type, operating system, app version, approximate timestamps, network information, and error or diagnostic information. We do not use this policy to promise that every device or platform will provide the same technical data.

Information we do not intentionally collect

Ramble is not designed to read your email, contacts, calendar, messages, or other accounts. We do not ask for access to those services as a condition of using the core app. Please do not submit information about another person unless you have a lawful reason and permission to do so.

3. How we use information

We use information only as reasonably necessary to:

• create and authenticate your account;
• store, synchronize, display, and organize the content you submit;
• turn your rambles into structured notes, actions, reminders, insights, and other requested output;
• support collaboration features that you deliberately enable;
• provide exports, password resets, customer support, and service communications;
• protect the service, detect abuse, investigate incidents, and enforce our terms;
• improve reliability and understand errors, using safeguards appropriate to the information involved; and
• meet legal, accounting, regulatory, and safety obligations.

4. AI-assisted processing

Ramble uses automated processing and third-party AI infrastructure to help organize content you submit. Relevant text or media may be sent to a carefully selected processing provider for the limited purpose of returning the feature you requested. We do not use your private content to sell advertising.

AI output can be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your circumstances. You remain responsible for reviewing it. Ramble is not a medical, legal, financial, emergency, or safeguarding service, and you should not rely on AI output as professional advice.

5. Sharing and service providers

We may share information with vendors that help us host databases and files, deliver authentication or email, process AI requests, monitor reliability, or provide customer support. These providers may process information only to provide services to us and must use appropriate confidentiality and security measures.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service from harm or abuse, to investigate security incidents, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of business assets. We do not sell personal information or share it for third-party behavioural advertising.

6. Groups and content visibility

Ramble can help you organize personal information and information shared with other people. Content marked or configured for a group may be visible to the relevant group members. Invite codes, screenshots, exported files, and shared devices can expose information beyond Ramble’s systems, so use care when sharing them.

7. Retention and deletion

We keep account and content information while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can request access, correction, export, or deletion by emailing help@rambleloop.com. We may retain limited information where necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, backups, or legal obligations, and will delete or anonymize it when those reasons end.

Deletion may not immediately remove copies from encrypted backups or from content that another user has independently copied or exported. We will apply our retention and backup procedures and will not use deleted content for ordinary service operation.

8. Security

We use measures intended to protect information, including access controls, authenticated requests, password hashing, and encrypted connections where supported by the deployment. No online service is completely secure. Keep your password confidential, use a unique password, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

9. International processing

Ramble and our providers may process information in countries outside Scotland or the United Kingdom. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as adequacy decisions, contractual protections, or another legally recognized transfer mechanism.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a portable copy of your personal information. You may also withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Contact us first so we can help; you may also contact the data-protection authority in your country, including the UK Information Commissioner’s Office where applicable.

11. Children

Ramble is not directed to children and should not be used by anyone who is not legally able to agree to our terms. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will investigate and take appropriate action.

12. Cookies and similar technologies

The marketing website may use essential browser storage or similar technologies to remember preferences and make the site work. If we introduce analytics, advertising, or other non-essential tracking, we will provide appropriate notice and choices where required. Your mobile platform may also provide its own diagnostics and permission controls.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Ramble changes. We will update the effective date above and, where a change is material, provide additional notice through the app, website, or email where appropriate. Your continued use after an update means the updated policy applies to future use.
